Many people are familiar with Pachypodiums and they call them the Madagascar Palm. While that is a common name for some of the Pachys they range from tall trunked plants as in Pachypodium gaeyi to short squatty flattened mounds, like Pachypodium brevicaule. All have beautiful flowers, ranging from white, yellow to maroon.
Pachypodiums are mostly from Madagascar although a few come from Southern Africa.
Our Pachypodiums are all grown from seed. When possible we grow our Pachys from seed produced on our stock plants. Gene can frequently be seen tearing flower petals apart and pollinating our Pachypodium namaquanum and Pachypodium brevicaule mother plants.
